Remake of Don is going to be another feather in Farhan Akhtar's hat after Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshay.
Farhan says he is not competing original Don released in 1978. Its just
going to be remake of the original version and he wants to pay tribute to
the original movie he has seen and enjoyed in his childhood days.
Farhan's earlier movies were Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshaya. Dil Chahta Hai
was a blockbuster and Lakshay was a hit movie and both these movies have
done good business and have realised lot of appreciations for the star cast
and Farhan Akhtar.
While speaking about the star cast of the movie Don , Farhan Akhtar says
Shah Rukh Khan is playing a double role and he has sang a few lines of
"Khaike Pan Banaras Wala". Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of Zeenat
Amaan of Don 1978. Priyanka has done some wonderful stunts in the movie
on her own. Farhan has used the best possible technology he could have
used for the remake of the movie. Farhan says there is nothing in the movie
which is there just because it looks good but it needs to be there.
Farhan Akhtar has choosen the songs "Main Hoon Don" , "Yeh Mera Dil" and
"Khaike Pan Banaras wala" in the remake of the movie as well as these
songs still have impression in the minds of the viewers of the original Don
The msuic directors of the movie are Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The group
has worked with Farhan in his last two productions as well. The sreenplay of
the movie is written by father Javed Akhtar.
